I'm curious to know about the place alcohol plays or has played in your life.
Do you drink? Does booze make you feel 'normal' like it did me?
Have you got an unhealthy relationship with drinking as a result?
I've been approached by a couple of researchers to help explore this topic and I'm hopeful that by sharing our experience we can contribute to create better addiction treatment for autistic drinkers.
Has anyone received treatment for drinking issues? Does anyone shy away from AA because it's so social?
It worked for me but my god I had to fight for that. And not just in the usual way of sobriety-seeking drinkers.
