A little bit ADHD doesn’t exist except by people who don’t realise that it’s a part of who we are.

We are so lucky, we both get that it isn’t normal and much of the time we can laugh helplessly and Paddy dances around with us living and enjoying the warmth, the happiness and the love

Oops flicked off before I finished… Point is we know and understand so much more now than I did in my 20’s with two kids under 3 so I’ll be forever grateful for your diagnosis.

You are giving our dream boy the most fabulous childhood, being present every day, dancing around the kitchen in the mornings, taking him on nature walks, showing him what real love is all about (probably when you should be somewhere else 😆). He is so bright, he knows what he wants… he loves olives, gyozas, blueberries and us. Adhd is debilitating but we are finally becoming ourselves and being less apologetic for it Xxx

What a lovely thing to write. Thanks mum 🙏 it's funny how the hard things - i.e. parenting - come easy. While the ‘easy’ things like dressing appropriate for event/weather are incredibly hard!

This week I am taking the steps to join that long line for an ADHD assessment. I really value reading your work, I always felt as though the thoughts and the self talk that came with it were my private little Labarynth, but watching, reading and learning from your experiences has been eye opening. Thank you so much for carving time out to write and share.

Wonderful article, Chelsey.

Although I cannot relate to the ADHD part, I can very much relate to that frustration when people say “But I do that too!” I know it will often come from a good place but it can feel so invalidating or like you have to give the long laundry list of all the other ways being neurodivergent affects you. And then you’re the person who ruined the day for not just accepting the nicety and for being too real and going too deep. 🙄😅

Thank you so much the shout out too. Very kind of you. 🖤
