Amazing news, Chelsey! Congratulations! Your book will do a lot of good out there for a wide range of people, quite apart from being a cracking read. Here's wishing it a fair wind. x
Thanks Vicky, I really hope it will do a lot of good. I am happy to have the time and space to wrangle some of the ideas that have come up since I started researching the topic... Not that I have so much time or space, but a book contract rather focuses one's attention doesn't it??
Nah you were fine. And to answer your question, yes I did. It's why I put on so much weight so quickly if you remember. I kept it to myself, not even Dave Scothern or Andy Ainsworth knew.
I speak to Dave Scothern occasionally and Andy and some of the lads in our old form, but that's all. Everyone drifted apart just after school ended, it seems.
Thanks Rose! I think I likely will. I'm just looking over the proposal at the minute and trying to colate all my writings notes on the general themes, and then I will begin interviewing and hopefully have a better sense of what I am doing. I will have you in mind as the audience as I write : )
Love this Chelsey! Go go go!!! x
Thanks Sean!!! xx

Sounds amazing & Congratulations, I look forward to reading exerts along the way! 🫶🏽
Thanks Rachel!
Congrats Chel.
Yes I drank heavily from age 14 to 18 to make the pain of losing my mum. I was one of those clever drunks who could hide it.
I woke up one morning in mid 1997 and saw myself in the mirror. I had let myself go completely which you may remember.
I took up Kung Fu after a couple of false starts with other martial arts to fill the gap, but.. I didn't give up drinking straight away.
After a haze of Y r 10 and Y 11 which I barely remember, I finally quit drinking in November 2000 and have managed to stay more or less on the level.
Wow barrie. So did you drink at school? I wish I hadn't been such a jerk/mean girl and could have been your pal.

Lager was my tipple of choice.
Me too! Re lager. Are you still in touch with anyone from school?

Amazing Chelsey. Well done! If you need any soundbites from someone else with a similar history let me know. I'll definitely be reading it ❤️

Can’t be any prouder of being your Mum… this is so exciting and deserved and also a ‘must read’ for parents!
Thanks mama. xxx
Fantastic achievement in a really tough market! Rooting for you and the eventual book's success.
Thanks Julia! It is a very tough market so I feel very fortunate to have found an editor to help me get this out there. 🎈
Ahh Congratulations, Well Done, and Good Luck!
Thanks Ally-mai! HOW ARE YOU? I hope you are very well. xx
